Le and Jimmy – a Boston Chinese Vietnamese Wedding

After weeks of dark cloudy weekends, finally a perfect weather day for a wedding, blue sky and not too hot! Le started early getting ready, by the time I got there, she was done with her makeups and hair while waiting for everyone else to get ready! The beautiful pink-shaded bouquets were also being delivered so the timing was perfect. Her house was well decorated with pink ribbons and flower petals, they were so organized! The day started with a traditional Vietnamese ceremony where the groom’s family bring gifts to the bride’s family followed by a tea ceremony to thanks the bride’s parents and close family members. Le’s hot pink Vietnamese wedding gown was very pretty; I used to see red traditional gowns. Then, she changed into her red Chinese wedding gown to the groom’s house where they have a quick Chinese tea ceremony. We had lunch afterward with the yummy roasted pig and food their parents cooked for the ceremonies 🙂 In the afternoon, we went over to Boston Public Garden where Le and Jimmy had their first look; it was hard to position them due to so many people in the garden that day but it worked out to have the first look below the bridge while all the family members on the bridge to witness the whole sweetness of the first look! We took family photos at the garden before heading back to Revere Hotel where Le and Jimmy did their vows on the rooftop with amazing views of Boston. The reception was held at Hei La Moon Restaurant and when we stepped in, it looked totally different, the decoration team did an amazing job transforming the place. The backdrops were stunning and so as Le’s dresses! The night was filled with joy, dances, and drinkings!
